what you need then is a permanant live to the radio's memory mate <img border="0" alt="[does this help]" title="" src="graemlins/cwemotions041.gif" />

have you stored the station when you set them?

if you have a sony explode like mine then you should have a yellow wire that comes from the back of the radio, if so connect that to a permmant live and the red wire to a switched live. i have used my ignition live so when i start the car my radio comes on.
hope this helps matey

what i'm best doing is transfering you to the ice chit chat were we have are own experts and they will be able to help you more matey. <img border="0" alt="[does this help]" title="" src="graemlins/cwemotions041.gif" />

on the standard head unit wiring there should be 2 wires a red and yellow, 95% of the time these wires have bullet connectors inline, so just swap them around so you have a red going to a yellow and vice versa, try storing some radio stations and then switch it off and back on again.

If after that you still having problems give me a shout and i can sort it for you. You can email me at

This is the sam eproblem I have had with my cauxhalls, as every1 else as said switch the yellow and red wire to create a permanant live to the hu.
there is usually a wiring harness on the iso connector were you can unplug all the wires and swap them round.
good luck, but honestly its dead easy if I did it.

Some Vauxhall's require both switch and permanent wires to be connected in to one
