My engine on my golf tdi has died, was running fine pulled up outside my mates and it cut out on me and died.(had plenty of oil and water) Called the AA who were useless and suggested it could be the head or cam, the belt is still intact and was trying to turn over but seems to quick for a diesel theres no knocking or banging coming from the engine. Ive been told to get someone to do a compression test on it to see it it is the head.

Is there anyone on here who has the equipment to do this or can take the head off and have a snoop around on a tight budget so need some one cheap thanks.
