Didn't see it today but heard it, the night rallies might be a tad annoying to us nearby residents

Nice photos everyone. I was going to post these in the main picture gallery when I spotted this thread.

I was there from around half one till about 4pm. I spent ages trying to get the technique right to create a motion blur effect. It was very hard. I must have deleted about 20 photos for every one that turned out. Anyway on with the pics.

The wife & I went for a walk down Sea Road on Friday evening while this event was on & a couple of guys standing under the railway bridge actually tried to charge us £3.00 each to get onto the dips. After telling them that we were certainly not paying to walk down our road & that they had no right to charge people to use a public right of way, we carried on. Another couple behind us did the same thing.

Bob.

The guys collecting on the gates are volunteers from New Brighton Rugby Club. Once the program costs have been deducted, 1/2 the gate proceeds go to them, the other 1/2 goes to charity.

For the money you should have got a program - if they didnt have any then they were not official.

Unfortunatly the guys on the gates are probably unable to visually establish wether people walking are local residents or spectators......
