Take them to your local garage and give them a hot soapy blast with a jet wash - that should shift it smile

I was thinking that, but did not think it would get grease off, will go try

The combination of heat, soap and pressure should do the job wink

I had a CV boot go on the race car, spraying grease all over the inside of the wheel - it came off with hot soapy water and a sponge - ruined the sponge mind raftl

Garages have allow wheel cleaner which shifts anything. They spray it on and leave it for about 30 seconds to a minute and it eats through the dirt and grease. Also brake cleaner would do the job which is sold at halfords but you would need to be able to scrub it.
