Im in need of a cordless impact gun, IM on my 15th set of alloys on my van, with another set waiting in the wings.

Its about time I bought an impact gun.

What are the pro's and con's, Ive seen them at £100 in various tooling shops

you'd need a decent one which has over 300nm ot torque to get anything decent off.

snap on sell ones which have 550nm of torque and can get most things off. but there the best part of £500

I have a Clarke (worked fine for buzzing back on, always breaker bar to remove) gun, 24v I think, which can be yours, boxed with light useage, two batteries and charger for £50. Drop me a PM if you're interested.

As Chris said, Snappy guns will remove, but are obscene expensive, do what I did (12 years motorsport industry) and buy a cheap gun to buzz on with, and a decent Mac animal bar to get them off.

Don't rely on any gun for the correct torque - always follow up with a Torque wrench.

Im on my 2nd Snapon gun....Drove over the first one in a 13 tonne digger!!!! It still worked as well. noisey as hell. Snapon gave me £100 off new one!! They are around the £400 mark as Robbo says, but WELL worth if your serious! I use mine all the time, herdly ever use ratchet now (except my 3/8" drive one for tight places!)

Where do you get them surgically attached? I could do with a jack on the other arm as well.
