My "in car" from Thruxton - 28th Jun 2010 3:40pm
Got back from Thruxton yesterday evening after a very warm weekend down south!
Qualified on Sunday morning, putting the car 13th on the grid, beating a 2.1 Zetec Escort on TBs and an E36 M3!
Lined up at the start only to see the Ex David Leslie car make a minor adjustment to his postition which when the lights went out, ment I had no space and had to get out of the throttle, and let both the Escort and M3 go past
Got past the Escort, but the M3 got to far ahead to catch and overtake - though I was creeping back up on him very slowly....
I also noted my speed a few times around the circuit, on the run up to church, I was doing 125mph, a little lift to 120, and then back on the throttle down to the chicane, tipping 140mph @ 8200rpm!
Finished 9th overall, and 1st in class
