Just back from Plymouth and I noticed a copper on the bridge at clatterbridge roundabout with a speed gun doing peeps on the motorway.

I didn't realise they worked at night! Or rather that they were used. It's a bit off though a copper wearing black on an until bridge. I thought he should have had a hi-biz jacket on at least.

If your not speeding, where's the problem?

Nothing, but as far as I know there are home office guidlines about visibility etc.

There's home office guidelines about the treatment of criminals, but if the plod give a smackhead a good beating when they have caught him robbing an 86 year old lady, ill turn a blind eye lol.

Seen an unmarked volvo pull a few cars over the past few evenings around clatterbridge northbound.

They also set up speed traps through the road works further down, J10 onwards.

There is a 'speed safety awareness' van pretty much constantly parked on the Rossmore Rd junction at Ellesmere Port on the M53. It does however occasionally move from one side of the roundabout to the other in the interests of fairness ;-)
