right it just bought one of these

snd i cant get it to work on my laptop it keeps failing to connect the com port numbers are bith right etc any ideas?

Are you sure the serial ports are enabled in the bios settings (F10 or whatever at switch-on)? - ahhhhh, its usb not serial

had the same problem when i ws setting up bluetooth diag
u need to assign it to a low com port number like 3 or somthing

already moved it round a few times and it wont pick up the car.. ive set it to com1 i think.
im starting to think it might be the car as it says there is no repsonse from it or no power,

ignition on?

yep sorted it was the cars i was using it on! doh! worked first time on a 53 plate corsa
id tried it on a 98 escort and a 98 transit with no look!
