I always ask them to keep anything that they have replaced when my Mum goes - that way I can see for myself I'm not an expert but I'm not an idiot either. They don't tend to like it when a "girl" knows stuff though

Even if they were charging £5 for an MOT I'd still pay £40 for the one I go to. It's an independent and I happily give them the money. More than Nationwide or Cock-Fit.
