Email i got from the people who run the day.

Hi Tony,

Is this for the drift day? If so, passengers are free, but no passengers are allowed during twinning.

Best regards,

Al

So, what's twinning??
Oh, & even though they say there's no charge for passengers, I'd expect to make a contribution to your costs.
Also, isn't this more Lichfield than Stoke?

Cheers, Chris.

Posted By: MGCraig Re: skidding in stoke - 5th Feb 2009 2:40pm
Isnt twinning where 2 cars drift at the same time?

Not sure to be honest just read on driftworks about it being in stoke.

Thanks for the link; looks fun. If it's at Curborough, which I think it is, it's near Lichfield, up the A38 towards Burton, then turn off left to Fradley.

Posted By: spinking Re: skidding in stoke - 6th Feb 2009 7:02pm
There is no postcode for the track, but if you type in Lichfield into your satnav, that will get you pretty close, then directions are head towards the A38 up to which you can now follow north to the Fradley Park turn, which is pretty much the next one, then from the A38 Fradley Park turn off, then turn off (left) towards the circuit which is signposted with brown signs.
The track entrance is on the right after about 50 yards and is very obvious, at least in daylight. After the gates, follow the access road as it passes to the left of the toilet block then takes a very sharp right and heads to the camping / unloading area behind the pits.
Posted By: Wench Re: skidding in stoke - 6th Feb 2009 9:35pm
I guess the passenger seat is gone then before I got chance to reply frown Oh well.
Posted By: chriskay Re: skidding in stoke - 7th Feb 2009 10:56am
I'll defer to you, Jaci. I get other opportunities for motorsport.

Cheers, Chris.

If you have people comming with you in your car matey you will not be taking many wheels.

I dont think anybody is comming with me so i have a spare seat if anybody wants to pop along.

Any Crashes down there?
Posted By: Dave100e Re: skidding in stoke - 5th Mar 2009 9:39pm
Thats probably not the right thing to ask at all. I hate people who watch motorsport to see crashes. If you havnt got anything good to say dont say anything at all.

But if you had actually bothered to read the above post youd have answered your own question. Which says to me your just posting so you can have a big number next to your name. Why? Have you got nothing better to do?

I had a really good day today although i was a bit shit. Thanks for the tuiton tony, i just need seat time really until i can get my confidence up to start nailing it and still be smooth without ending up backwards all the time.

I did manage a few skids towards the end of the day, with a bit of a handbrake in and a clutch kick and some power over but nothing special.

bowdown the BMW drivers bowdown Absolutely nuts.
Posted By: Jamie_LFC Re: skidding in stoke - 5th Mar 2009 9:41pm
I dont watch motorsport just to see crashes and i dont care about the number next to my name.
I was asking about crashes wondering about what the track was like whether there was the danger of crashing.

Thats fair enough but as all you had to ask was about crashes it came across that way, only made worse by the fact your answer was posted above.
