Anyone interested in this.

Probs flogging a dead horse, but worth a shot.
Posted By: Sanchez Re: KNW Christmas Special Cruise - 14th Dec 2008 4:25pm
no offence, but in my honest opinion, cruising is pretty much dead. I blame police presence.
Posted By: MrHouston Re: KNW Christmas Special Cruise - 14th Dec 2008 4:29pm
It wasn't dead at the Hull cruise last month wink

It's nowhere near dead

To be fair the number of convoys on the flyer shows it isn't dead.

Granted it isn't as big as it was but it's still going strong, a lot of the problem is people not being bothered.

Yes again the police do play a large part in this, but not every copper is out to stop cruisers, infact a lot of them are into cars and know quite a bit (auditastic is one).

I don't expect everyone to be falling over themselves to attend but would be nice to have some of the old spirit back.

The problem with this one is that being on the 27th, a lot of people will be visiting family, parties etc. Its also quite short notice.

Id be interested myself, but Im still in the shade as to whether my Alfa will be sorted for then. Its time for me to retire the Micra, so all is resting on le new car.
Also, I myself will be in London visiting family from boxing day to god knows when, so may not be able to attend.

Cruising is dying, because people are losing interest/contacts with people currently doing so. Not as many new people to fill the boots of the OAPs...

Good luck with the numbers though Cali, looks like could be a goodun. thumbsup
Posted By: Mr_T5 Re: KNW Christmas Special Cruise - 14th Dec 2008 6:09pm
It's only short notice cos i didn't post it up earlier i've know about it for 4 months, through "contacts"

I thought Joe would of posted it on here earlier but seeing as he didn't i thought i might as well post it up.

Come on guys.

You all slated me saying CW wasn't dead, so were is the CW spirit now your presented with a cruise on your doorstep ?
Posted By: MrHouston Re: KNW Christmas Special Cruise - 22nd Dec 2008 1:12am
26 convoys now confirmed for this
Posted By: Tony_1985 Re: KNW Christmas Special Cruise - 22nd Dec 2008 4:04am
The date is the main issue

People make plans for the christmas week mate
Posted By: Dave100e Re: KNW Christmas Special Cruise - 22nd Dec 2008 8:32pm
I might end up going, but i reckon the people id be going with who say their going would probably back out or just not bother, so im doubting ill be there.

Noone seems to be bothered about 'cruising' anymore. You know, just going out in your car for the sake of. Its just excuses after excuses. Even if theres the risk of noone being there when you arrive it doesnt matter cause you had fun getting there. It seems people are lacking that atmosphere these days.

I blame the police who can ruin a perfectly safe gathering quite quickly, but it is their job. Bad organisation too doesnt help. Im sure its not easy though.

Im not having a go at people on here, its everyone really.

But i do reckon mid christmas is a bad call on this one.

Cool pics Scott

Looks like it was packed.

Any good?
Posted By: Mr_T5 Re: KNW Christmas Special Cruise - 28th Dec 2008 5:18pm
Chav fest ?

Was a brilliant night, much better than the hull cruise, people actually stayed out past 10.

as you can see by scott's pictures cruising is far from dead. There where more cars just to the left of that picture and some on scott's direct left.

Nice drive up there even if we did get split up. but we all arrived in one piece. Maybe at the next one you guys could come along and see for yourselves what it's all about.

I must admit, given the amount of cars there at the time of year not a bad turn out, was this a nationwide cruise though or just north west (i dont know were it is)
Posted By: MGCraig Re: KNW Christmas Special Cruise - 28th Dec 2008 8:17pm
Bloody hell..looked a good night. Hope you enjoyed yaselves.

If only we had the numbers for local cruises
Posted By: Sanchez Re: KNW Christmas Special Cruise - 29th Dec 2008 10:07am
fair play thats some good driving, i wont take that from him.......but i can help but think to my self.......gayers, espescially the one doing the headstand.
Posted By: MGCraig Re: KNW Christmas Special Cruise - 29th Dec 2008 11:51am
aahhhh..but Andy, we need people like that, so people like us can sit in our cars and complain about their antics laugh
Posted By: Sanchez Re: KNW Christmas Special Cruise - 29th Dec 2008 12:00pm
Lol, true true, I applaud their behavior then. i can see now why the law states that an event with over so many people attending requires st johns ambulance..............

paramedic :
"so sir how did you manage to get run down by a car - chest first"

victum
"err, well I was doin a handstand while me mate was drivin around me"
Posted By: MGCraig Re: KNW Christmas Special Cruise - 29th Dec 2008 12:08pm
Precisely, keeps us non-chav normal people entertained, whilst keeping the St Johns ambulance and the police with a job laugh
