ford badge colour change - 29th Aug 2008 10:30pm
first of all start of with a normal ford badge
to get the middle bit out i boiled it in a pan of water to make the resin part soft. Then slowly prize the resin part out being curfull not to rip or damage it.
when apart it should be like this (but the resin will still be blue)
the back part should look like this
then you have to sand the blue off so it looks like this
then you can eather paint the bit were it says ford or you can try mask it off (painting was easyer)
let it dry properly.
then you spray the back side of the resin (so it says FORD the wrong way) the color you want (i went for red)
then when the red paint (or what ever colour you choose) is dry turn the resin over an it should look somethink like this
then glue the resin back into the middle of the other half that it came out of... making sure its all prssed down even an properly.. let the glue dry
then stand back and injoy ur coloured badge
if ur doing 1 u may aswell do the other1 at the same time
