i have spoken to steve at dyno demon and he has give me a price plan
the most they can do in a day is 25 cars 3 runs each
you need 10 cars min but the more you have the cheaper per car..
saturdays are best but they can do sundays between 10am and 3pm only
full print outs for each car...
the cheapest you can get if for is £35 a car but that depends on numbers.....

:)(mines being done after the mods are fitted by dyno demon) cool

Have DD fully integrated with CAS now?
Posted By: MattLFC Re: rolling road - 3rd Jun 2008 11:43am
Shame I dont want my car rr'ing yet. Think I may need a new intercooler before that haha!

Peco can do them for £25 a car iirc?

smile
Posted By: StuyMac Re: rolling road - 3rd Jun 2008 12:00pm
Be interesting to see any comparison results between Dyno Demon and Peco......

I belive the Dyno Demon RR (Dyno Dynamics) far more accurate, and that the Peco RR over reads....
Posted By: Garry_St Re: rolling road - 3rd Jun 2008 12:04pm
Cas and dyno demon are the same company
steve is a little poorly and only has the one bussiness running now so its all in one
dont peco use a water wheel DD is 2 and 4 wheel drive
is pecos price for one run or three DD offering 3 runs
Posted By: StuyMac Re: rolling road - 3rd Jun 2008 12:07pm
I know Julian was having a few problems when I took the Nissan up there...

Julian created Dyno Demon - Steve used to run CAS, and now they have fully combined.... think

Im saying no more lol
Posted By: Garry_St Re: rolling road - 3rd Jun 2008 12:22pm
stu dont know the full story i just know that all my work gets done by steve and hes now based at dyno demon.....

well she was pushing 110 bananas and 100 curly whirlys at 8 psi, so i reckon 125 bananas and say around 115 curlies. knowing my luck she'll probabily be less!

as long as the car has atleast 3rd party an you are fully comp an are 25+ with the owners permition (spe) then u can drive it..... well thats what i was told. or if you have a traiders policey
Posted By: Davey_Martin Re: rolling road - 2nd Jul 2008 5:55pm
just fone ur insurer and ask them as diff insurers have diff terms and conditions within their policies. so yea, just give them a ring and find out for definite. really isnt worth takin the chance tease
Posted By: krisGTi Re: rolling road - 3rd Jul 2008 5:53pm
any dates set yet ?
Posted By: MattLFC Re: rolling road - 3rd Jul 2008 10:07pm
It will say on your insurance certificate/policy/schedule if you are eligable to drive other vehicles under the 3rd party insurance scheme providing you have the owners express permission.

If it doesnt say it, then you are not eligable for it. And age doesnt come into it, cos its been on my policy since I was 20.

Some insurers do allow it, others dont, some only allow it after a certain age, some allow it only on fully comp, others on 3rd party or fully comp etc... its just the luck of the draw really as to whether the company you are with allows it.

So if in doubt, consult the schedule, and if still in doubt, phone your insurer and if they say you are allowed to, and its not on your schedule, get them to send a confirmation in writing via post/email/fax before you do so.

Ave asked russ(red gte) and his bro(blue astra coupe), there going to let me know this week. When do we pay?
Posted By: BMW Joe Re: rolling road - 6th Jul 2008 10:46am
£35 for 3 runs altogether - £15 deposit to be paid in advance. This is to ensure everyone who puts their name down turns up and then £20 on the day.

You can also pay the full £35 in advance, then theres nothing to pay on the day.

Let me know if they are interested and I will see what dates they have available and will book the one that suits everyone

Hope you dont mind Joe, but I posted this on the MG-Rover forums as there are a fair few people on there from the local area, most of whom have performance-enhanced cars and may wish to RR them to see what their pushing.

They might not be so interested because of them being strangers in such a strong community atmosphere on here, but you never know.
Posted By: BMW Joe Re: rolling road - 14th Jul 2008 5:25pm
Thats fine mate, as long as they are willing to pay the deposit of either the full amount or £15.

Obviously, if there is not enough interest in these dates, I will have to see what other dates are available.

a large hole in one piston due to the set up.

also the fact that when another mechanic called up to ask why they had done what they had that they asked if he would keep quiet if they gave him what he wanted he refused an let us know about the work
Posted By: StuyMac Re: rolling road - 17th Jul 2008 5:12pm
...letting them set a car up is one thing, running it on a RR is another - all they do is strap it down and give it a run in a mid to tall gear.

Any ideas on dates? Are we looking at a lot later then august now?

Im very up for this now. But come september i may not have the car anymore and i thought the dyno run would be a good thing to help with the sale to show its power.

Stick my name on the list for now but i cant promise and ill let you know asap if i sell the car happy

Once we have 15 cars listed, I will ring for available dates.

There hasn't been much more interest from other members, so ask around, and as long as they will pay £15 deposit or the full £35 in advance they're welcome to come smile

i'll put my van on it on one condition, i have a diesel tunning chip which can be plugged and unplugged, i'll want a before and after reading, others wise £35 is too expensive
