hi guys, does anyone have clue as to were I can get 2 viper stripes put onto my hyundai coupe SE. Everywhere I've spoken to so far has passed of on to somewhere else coz they think the curves would be too hard to get right! Cheers.

That springs to mind lol!

Anyway, you can buy stripes from the likes of eBay, there are specialist sellers on there knocking them our for a few quid each although you have to do the job yaself, I think they are usually measured and designed to fit the particular car you order them for.

Other than that, Mark may be able to offer you his services, but I dunno where else.

I tried ebay they sent a single vinyl stripe and although they were supposed to be specialists, what came isn't very good quality. I've spoken to signs 2 go and they say they came cut they right stuff (a bit expensive mind, £160!) but they're not confident enough to fit it for me. That tells me that maybe I shouldn't give it a go myself! So I need to find someone that will hopefully supploy and fit it for me.

Sometimes, if done right, and tastefully, they can look OK on other cars, but the general rule of thumb is that they are called Viper Stripes for a reason.... lol

To be or not to be for the Coupe is the question; but the age old Renault Gordini still had them long before anything else!

They do look the biz on the Viper though!!

i quite like it laugh x
Posted By: iko_89 Re: viper stripes - 25th May 2008 9:24pm
might sound silly but i personally think the back end suits it and the front end doesnt, obviously it would be silly to jus have the rear done but thats the first impression i got when i seen the pic, looks like a decent job though...
Posted By: trekjock Re: viper stripes - 26th May 2008 9:52am
thanks guys. Wasn't too sure if the stripes should have been thicker, but now I'm glad I went this way. Never altered any of my cars til now, might be gettin the bug! I'm on the lookout for a new sound/nav system now. Have to start a new thread.

What tints did you have done mate ?
Posted By: trekjock Re: viper stripes - 27th May 2008 1:16am
Just the back window and the 2 rear windows, but they're so small he did them with the offcuts from the back one. Not a bad job really just a couple of places where as you'd expect it hasn't taken so well, like round the edges where the glass is etched and the heater strips.

Cheers matey, Not too sure what'll fit really as there's not much room for units, I need every inch of the bootspace for transporting my singing equipment. I'm looking for a flip out unit with a 6 or 10 disc changer and possibly something like Trafficmaster nav attached. The bloke at cablex was showing me an Alpine IVA-D105R with NVE-N099P nav, which looks like what I'm looking for. Somewhere around £1000 - £1300 mark. Any ideas?
Posted By: CustomIce Re: viper stripes - 27th May 2008 5:08pm
To be honest for that Alpine setup you'd be looking at about the £1400 mark.

For £1300 you could have the Pioneer AVIC-X3BTi All in one sat nav, DviX / DVD / MP3 / WMA flip out touch screen unit.
