Wow thats a bit low that Cali, how can you rant on one minute about wanting to bring Cruisewirral back to the forefront of local cruising, and then start a competing site on the sly.

I am seeing that right now as a massive stab in the back to Mark and all other Cruisewirral members, regardless of whether they wanted to see a mainstream return of the CW name or not (I personally chose the Autowirral name).

I am rather surprised in you to be honest, I always thought of you a decent and upfront guy, never a back stabber, and never sly.

The thing that you have failed to understand Daz, is that its the members who make a community, not the name, Autowirral or Cruisewirral, it doesnt matter, you will still get the same level of convo and interest because its the members that make the posts at the end of the day.

I can't believe you wouldn't take up Mark on his offer and become a mod and get organising events that you are clearly going to organise elsewhere anyway so you may as well have done it through Cruisewirral.

I myself have been involved in the running of forums etc (including a stint as a mod on here for a year or so) in the past, and I hope that in time you will be able to appreciate in time, the amount of time and effort put in by the moderating team on Wikiwirral.

If you have started a site of you're own, I too wish you the best of luck, because believe me, its a full time job and ive seen experienced web coders and developers fall at the hands of spambots in recent years due to the use of free software.

i dont understand why another site needs to cause a kick off as we all have the same interests, and cali is still an active member on the cw forums. He has always come up with some great ideas and to say he is not welcome to an unofficail cw meet that was thought up by himself i think is rather sly. Not like he has said lets all meet in the pub to suport birkenheadcruise.He there to be active member in cw. Are we no longer aloud to be a member of more than one forum. I do not see this as a rival. I see this site as another cruisin enthusiasts site. And i think the more the better.
There is no money involved so why act so much like this is a buisness.

Its not about being friends Richie, its the way he has done it. As far as I am concerned, I am still friends with everyone on any local forums no matter what happens. What I dont like is backstabbing and slyness.

Everyone is free to do what they want, but to make out he wanted to help Cruisewirral, to cause a stir about this and then piss off and start up a rival site, is a bit off, you have to understand that.

The things that would be catered by another cruising site, could esily have been catered for by Cruisewirral, and Mark offered him, publically may I add, the option to become a moderator and get things going again on the Cruisewirral front.

He rejected this , and instead of doing it for the members of Cruisewirral, he has jumped onto another bandwagon altogether and therefore, turned his back on Cruisewirral.

Even after years of being quiet, you are still drawn here, as are many other "old skool" members, that is proof enough that Cruisewirral is not dead and is still a draw to the cruising community.

And i don't ever recall being asked to be a moderator on here. i know joe asked me face to face and said he would have a word with mark.

I don't want to fall out with anyone wanted to make new friends and this seemed a good way to do it. sorry you all feel the way you but like i have also said i have my own personal reasons for doing this.

It's up to people if they choose to sign up. also can i ask to have my posting rights back as i find posting every half an hour a bit unfair. also i understand the reason for the loss of the PM function.

to be honest...i only joined a coupla months ago...and i have met some very nice people on here, i wouldnt want to g to another forum...n if its called birkenhead cruise...i dont like or live in birkenhead so why wud i wanna join it....its cruise WIRRAL for a reason, so everyone in wirral is included...so to have a birkenhead one just doesnt make sense...thats like me making a seacombe cruise...yeh right!

Daz & Richie, you showed support and put in some effort to advertise Autowirral/Cruisewirral at the last liquid cars show, and Daz, you had all this enthusiasm and ideas to get Cruisewirral back on it's feet and then you abandon it all to start off fresh using this site (and probably others) to help BHC.

As already mentioned, good luck to you, however, if it takes off and fails, Cruisewirral will always be here and will have the members (both old and new) and moderators to keep it going.

Mark and others have put a lot of effort into this site over the years organising events and trying to keep everyone happy and I'm sure you realise that, but if you start organising events on these forums and then organising the same, if not very similar events on other forums, it clearly does become a rival site with members (and maybe even moderators) committing themselves to one or the other.

however any ideas that i have expressed on this site, remain MY ideas so i can use them and distribute them as i see fit. If you wish to continue to run UNOFFICIAL meets then so be it, just remember who's idea it was.

Yes, I agree, they are your ideas, and don't get me wrong, I'm all for you posting them on here and asking members to come along, joining in or contribute, but the problem comes when you start ideas and organising events and then abandon or lack organisation in them in favour of the same, similar events or events with conflicting dates to those you have started on Autowirral.

For example, I noticed there was a BBQ thread running on BHC, and yet you started one on Wikiwirral back in January and seemingly have now lost all interest in organising it or participating in it?

I never lost interest in anything i started on here, however i have had them taken away from me. was only the other day i Bumped this topic. to find that i have been taken of it and am no longer welcome. however i have said if i arrange anything on any site i will invite you all.
