New pictures of the new-look Audi A3 and S3 Sportback have been revealed.







Both models will be slightly larger than the previous version. They will be standard in three-door form and the five-door Sportback, which is due to go on sale this summer, will have a sportier look.

The front of the A3 features an updated design around the grille and new headlights with optional bi-xenon units that incorporate LEDs. The rear lights have also had a refresh and Audi has used fibre optic rods to create a dramatic effect. A new tail-gate design completes the exterior updates.

The diesel engines now include an updated fuel injection system and all engines in the A3 range come with S tronic transmission. Buyers opting for the 1.6, 1.4 TFSI and 1.8 TFSI engines can fit an optional seven-speed version automatic gearbox.

Inside, the A3 features new aluminum design trim and new colors and fabrics for the seats. The controls for the audio system have also been redesigned.

Equipment levels have been changed so that there are now four trims to choose from. The 'SE' trim now includes driver information system, multi-function steering wheel, front fog lamps and a different alloy wheel design.

Air con is now standard across the range, as is a four-speaker audio system. There are also modern infotainment options available, including the Bose Sound System and iPod and USB connections.
