the lettering was listed as a road legal font mate..... and the jonah..... how do garages get away with putting their names on numberplates at the bottom, and letting them off the forecourt ? not that i'm doubting what u say

The main thing is the BS mark....

To get legal plates made, you must show your V5 or some ID, therefore, most mail order plates are listed "for show use"

If you supply your details, the plates will display a BS number and the makers details - all be it in very small lettering.

Chances are its close enough not to get stopped for, however, it is something police could pick up on if they stopped you for something else...
