Looks nice
Stuy, it's a vauxhall you know it looks nice.
i thought it was blue, but it is in fact purple
and it is due to be taxed on friday
couldn't be bothered washing it (too cold), but here's a pic of it:
Apologies for the quality of the photo, used my camera phone
Aghhhhhh, it's got trims man.
Vaux alloys are cheap enough that needs to be sorted first
Its the shape i like aswell
yeah Dazzz, i will be sorting that
very nice
great buy
silly thing is...this purchase was an accident
i was supposed to cancel the bid on it before i went to my bosses leaving party last night, but i forgot
glad i didn't now.
Nice colour, thing they look really nice in that colour esspecially once given the full polish ans wax treatment. it always grabs attention.
good purchase. i'm impressed
gotta get the thermostat replaced first because of the bodged wiring
then i will hunt for a set of alloys for it
but i gotta sort the stereo/speaker wiring out, the owner before last hacked the wires by the looks of it
Thermostat and bodged wiring - how are they related
Looks like a bargain though, I thought Vauxhalls clicked to 100k miles and dropped dead
Cheek of you chewy, my calibra has got 107k and my last one had 115K ok so the engine was ony 88k. my uncle has a vectra and thats over 120k.
I thought Vauxhalls clicked to 100k miles and dropped dead
hahaha! works ones dont even make it to 100k usually...

the bodged wiring is running the fan
and no, this one's still running, even at 180k

The Thermostat sits in the coolant track (Top rad hose). A temp switch controls the fan.
...jut making sure you have ordered the right part, as if you have ordered a thermostat its prolly going to be the wrong part as it has no electrical connections on it

yeh, but i've seen how you drive !

right, cheers mate
i havent ordered anything yet
going to get my dad who's a mechanic to take a look at it before i go ordering any parts
indeed mr Mac is correct. had to sort this problem myself on my C20XE engine as there thermostat wouldn't open. no wires on it all
well, a small but puzzling problem shown itself this morning
last night, battery fully charged
this morning, battery dead
everytime i recharged it, within 15 mins it was flat again
so..
£50 later, a new battery was fitted
Could be the alt draining the battery if a new battery doesn't fix the problem.
alternator's fine mate
had it checked today
Thats good then.
So what needs to be done to get it on the road then ??
its on the road now
just gotta sort that fan problem out
found out its the fan temp switch thats faulty
Well where are the updated pictures of it then. all clean and shiney i hope.
not clean yet. going to do it all tomorrow
still working out the wiring behind the stereo, there's loads of extra cables there .... all i want to do it put the bloody stereo in !!!
i know what you mean, mine is the same with bullet connectors. think i will just PM customice to sort mine our for me. cos i also want screen and my x-box sticking in aswell
yeah i might have a word with him myself
its doing my head in now
all i need to do is alter the live cables to fit my pioneer stereo, but its crazy behind there
hahaha! works ones dont even make it to 100k usually...
yeh, but i've seen how you drive !
and what are you insinuating about MY style or method of driving!!!!
What head unit are you putting in Tony?
