The filler is generally on the opposide side of the exhaust so any filler neck leaks dont go near the hot exhaust...

....but, as posted in my original post , the pic on your fuel gauge may be correct on my BMW, but on the Nissan and Honda its wrong - if I went off what the gauge shows, Id be on the wrong side of the pump.... but .......... all 3 have the filler cap on the opposite side to the exhaust
