TBH Hondas make pretty good race cars, they are very light, and you can keep the engines in the VTEC most of the time on track. Its the trasition when you move them to a road car, add the weight of an interior and the torque has been compramised by the high revving VTEC - its just no pratical to keep them revving all the time.
