This is a clear liquid casting resin which allows you to create fantastic shapes otherwise impossible to make from plexiglass.
several pigments are available so you can fully customise the look of the casting.

Just think you could make replacement trim parts in a clear or pigmented resin, mould your own install component surrounds. You could put LED indents int the casting to allow you insert led's when it's set.

Could also be used in the home to make unique decorations.

1 quart £30

Surely one would need moulds to use this??

I wouldn't mind giving it a go

How would you make a mould though?

For those of you who didn't know like me:
1 Gallon = 3.79 litres
1 quart = 946ml (just under a litre)

How much would p&p be? must be pricey especially for the 1 gallon tub?

You doneed moulds but plaster of paris is cheap and easy to use, plus decent car polish can be used as a release agent.

BMW joe, p&p is on there incase i need to post it out, i can bring people's orders to meets etc. But i agree the gallon would be pretty pricey!

Can't find it matey?

Is P+P cost the cost to your door or the cost of importing it?

Can't find what Joe?

The price you pay includes me bringing it to the next meet wink

I'll double check about the 1 gal as i may get stung on a courrier charge but normally its fine.

ohh I'm with it now, P&P is extra if your not local?

Sorry, I just read "comes from the states" and put 1 and 1 together and came up with 3....or something like that smack

Could be interested then, as that seems quite cheap for a good mess around learning how to use it.

Probably not atm as I need to focus on buying and getting my engine sorted.

At the price for the 1 quart (litre-ish) it'd be a giggle to see what you could make.

Just bear in mind it gets to a very high temperature while curing, so no casting bodily parts wink

No but one of the reps who was 'playing' with making battery terminal housings burnt his hand on it while it was going off.
Posted By: BMW Joe Re: Liquid ICE - 9th May 2007 7:33pm
Ahh, theres one idea for its use anyway wink
Posted By: CustomIce Re: Liquid ICE - 9th May 2007 7:36pm
