Do you really think the government care about a stupid online petition Scoop?

The country didnt want to go to war with Iraq, but the government took us there...

Don't really think their going to be too arsed about a few thousand names on an online petition!

wink

well its the goverment petition website, and any party that doesnt listen to a single word of the voters, wont get my vote. Theyre ruining this country, its their job to make it better, and its only getting worse and worse, forshame

Lol, Scoop, the people in this country have a right to voice their views, in the next general election.

Im betting people still vote Labour though... not because the Tories or LibDems arnt good, but because the people of this country are as stupid as the government!

If you sign the petition and it comes in to force, at least you have the right to complain.

Dont sign it, do nothing, lie back and take it is almost admitting defeat.

Its like squandering your vote by obstaining, of course, if you also failed to vote in the last election, you have also lost your right to complain whistle

stop being a cock matty and realise that the more you do to prevent it, the less chance it has of happening, i think to show your faith to fellow drivers of this and many other sites, you should demonstrate your will to drive by doing a giant 24 hour chariety drive by on number ten. (all funds raised will go to sanchez !)

Well I cant seriously believe you all think this is actually going to make a difference?

When have the current government EVER listened to what the people want? Is it correct that our troops are being killed every day in Iraq as a result of going into a war, that tens of millions of people voted against going into in the media??

What effect did tens of thousands of people demonstrating in London and other major UK cities have upon the governments decision to go to war??

If you think a petition will change things, good for you, but this government doesnt give a fook what the people want or think, and their not really arsed about losing votes, cos the opposition to them still isnt rated as crdible enough by most people.

And yeah, I didnt vote Labour in the last GE, so I used my vote to have my say and I can rightly stand and critisize the government without being a hypocrit.

Fair play.

I wasnt having a go BTW with the voting thing that was just a gereral comment, how people vote is totally their own business.

Tens of thousands may have protested, but its the millions that do nothing that are the majority and thats democracy... whistle

matty, the iraq war issue is VERY VERY different to the issue of car tax and charging. What do the public know about the war in iraq, compared to the goverment and military head honcho's. Next to fook all mate, thats why we went in,that, and the fact blair will do what it takes to keep bush sweet, which i dont agree with. We shud be pulled out, but i think TB wont pull us out cos its like admitting he was totally wrong
