Once we have details sorted a topic will
move up to "Up n coming Convoys".

Bare with us as there are lots of questions

USC: Ultimate Street Car 2004 Report

" This is the best outdoor car show in Europe " Fuel Records

" It's been a great weekend- there's been loads of good stuff on the track,
and the crowd have been great " Paul Venners (commentator)

" We've had an awesome weekend. USC has become the show we all look forward to "
Davy (Redline Magazine)

" It's been great. Loads of stuff on the track, the Show & Shine has been brilliant,
and we've had two mad nights in the entertainment tent " Tony (Fast Car Magazine)

" You're making my job difficult. There is so much stuff going on,
I can't possibly photograph it all " Tricky Morris (Photographer for Fast Car Mag)

The quotes say it all- Ultimate Street Car was bigger, better and hotter than ever before,
just as we promised! There was so much going on all over the site, with more traders,
show cars, race cars, sexy girlies and evening entertainment than most people could handle.

The weekend started a day early for the modified car hardcore, with the
gates opening at 8 am on Friday for eager car fans- some of whom had been
queuing overnight in order to be the first on site. Tents were hastily
set-up and it wasn't long before the track action kicked off, with racers
keen to set the early pace. Some cars were down into the 11's by midday,
and the track was hot and sticky helping times come down even further.
As ever, a fabulous variety of cars were represented, from cool streetcars
loaded with the latest body-kits and chromed-up wheels, through to serious
racers with stripped-out interiors, semi-slicks and massive turbo and nitrous kits.

In Fueller's bar, the first of the weekend's XXX Pole dances took place,
and there isn't a lot to say except that it got VERY steamy in there,
and there wasn't much that was left to the imagination! Sadly, the
pictures that were taken were far to rude to be put on an unrestricted website,
so if you want to see, you'll have to make sure you are there next year!

Friday night's entertainment was hosted by the Old School Veterans,
with their awesome set of Drum & Bass and Jungle DJs and MCs.
The finest D&B talent in the UK filled the massive entertainment
zone with mad-for-it punters, and left them begging for more.

Saturday morning started with more RWYB action and demo runs by the
Fireforce and Blue Max jet cars, and the first Toyo Tyre burnout competition
hosted by "Legs" and his Worm Farm Cru started up at 1pm. The competition
gets bigger every year, and we were treated to another huge smoke-cloud
from the cars taking part. Exhausts glowed red-hot, and engines screamed
for mercy, but Craig Kaaling from Nottingham took the winners laurels
with a fantastic display that saw both wheels spinning and a cool driving style.

Sunday's burnout competition was won by Kevin Granger of Goring after
he smoked the opposition and the crowd with more tyre-popping madness.
Poor Legs was left without a voice by the time the afternoon had come round!

The UK Centrefolds took to the stage in the Entertainment Zone on
Saturday afternoon, and gave an eye-popping show of lady-flesh and
exotic dancing. Once again, the pictures for this will have to be censored,
because it got way too raunchy for these pages! The UK Centrefold girls
then put on a series of private lap-dances for those lucky punters who
were left begging for more.

More track action ended with the first-ever exhaust flame-out competition
down on the startline, with a huge selection of snarling cars flaming their
exhausts together. All types of car and flame-system were represented,
from Minis using a simple but vicious over-run system through to a wicked
Scooby with twin-exhaust gas injection. One entrant with a Sierra made
the muffler-tip glow red-hot, but the competition was won by Andy Smith
from Kent who impressed all with a shocking 8ft flame billowing from his
beautifully presented Nissan Almera.

Saturday night was stolen by the Euphoria crew in the main Entertainment
Zone with 5 hours of the finest uplifting house music and incredible lightshow.
Sunday arrived bleary-eyed but bright and sunny and the Show & Shine area
started to fill-up early. Over 60 cars were in attendance for the best-ever
turn out of show cars. This gave the judges from Fast Car magazine a very
tough job when it came to picking the winners. Several categories were a
real problem to judge with such quality vehicles in the line-up.
Eventually the winners were as follows:

Best Engine: Andy Smith, Nissan Almera GTi. Andy's gold-plated
engine and mirror finished bonnet left us in no doubt who should win this category.

Best Paint: Simon Johns, Subaru Impreza. Simon's Scooby boasted
a stunning piece of airbrushed artwork that went all over the gorgeous
metallic blue paintwork including under the bonnet! Hundreds of
man-hours of work were clear for all to see.

Most Radical: Hamel Daya, Renault Clio. Another contender for
best paint, Hamel eventually took the "most radical" category with
his insane Lord of the Rings themed Renault Clio. Hamel has built
into the car not only an incredible paintjob, but also a middle-earth
themed ICE install. Nucking futs!

Best Wheels: Gary Carroll, BMW M3 Convertible.
Gary won this prize last year, but has developed the car even further
this year and upgraded his already awesome wheels with a set of unique
heavyweight spinners. This man is serious about his hoops.

Best Interior: Dave Collier, Peugeot 205.
One of the hardest categories to judge, due to such close competition,
Dave took the prize with his flawless old-school interior featuring a
detailed painted roll-cage, crazy centre-mounted rear speakers and
matching leather seats and trim.

Best Ice: Craig Prescott,
Mazda RX-8. Craig's RX-8 was one of the first in the country,
and one of the first to get modified! Yet he has managed to cram in £15,000
of ICE in his neat and tidy, but mean-as-hell Mazda.
Not just a lot of money has gone into this car,
but also a lot of innovation and skill.

Best Race Car: Karl Rowntree, Vauxhall Nova.
This car deserved to win something. Flawless red paint and engine bay
combined with smart-wheels and a beautiful stripped out but well-finished
interior, we couldn't let it go. It may not be the fastest race-prepped
car out there, but it certainly has to be one of the best looking.
Old skool cool.

Best of Show: Miklos Szabados, BMW 318is.
Miklos once again walked away with another USC trophy, and rightly so.
Miklos has developed the car even further since last year,
and everything about it is right. Colour-change metalflake paint
(even on the wheels!), a massive sound-system, and crazy looks
both inside and out make it the eye catching show-stopper
it was always meant to be.

After the Show & Shine, things really took off in the Entertainment Zone,
with another show by the UK Centrefolds, a brilliant performance by our
favourite comedian Mad Mark Peters, and then onto Mr & Miss USC.
The competition was wet and wild to say the least! We didn't ask them to,
but we saw more than our fair share of flesh once again, but Mr USC
was won by Albert Yeates from Kent , and Miss USC was won by the lovely
Stacey Hill from the midlands, who proved that you can be a Miss USC winner
without getting your tuppence out! Perhaps the crowd had seen enough
of that sort of thing by that stage in the weekend!
