Radio Caroline North is back for a month as a tribute for the 50th anniversary of its start from the old Mersey Bar lightship moored at the Albert Dock and is playing a mix of 60s 70s and 80s music on 87.7FM and online at http://www.carolinenorth.com

Visitors to the radio ship are welcome between 10am and 6pm for a small fee of £1 to help with running costs.

The signal on 87.7 is good here on the wirral, so fans of music from that era will enjoy smile

Me too Van. Brilliant cast as well. In fact it could be good viewing again for tonight, as an alternative to tv !

I only found out last week that there was a Radio Caroline North. Living sown south we listened to the one which was moored off the Essex coast in the North Sea. Speaking to people form north and south it seems we each though we were listening to the only one!
