A tenner is a bit much I think, they're playing on people that are into this sort of stuff.
I don't think many will attend the function. smile

I also thought the price OTT, not that I'd attend anyway.

I thought it was actually quite reasonable, but of course I have not been to an event like this previously, so have no insight to the value of it. Was even considering popping along, think ill give it a miss now lol!

Cheers folks!

As it goes this was me. Bit of an old thread this one but this was the launch event for my company.
We had a great turn out in the end and it was a really enjoyable evening. The payment covered our three speakers, venue hire and refreshments as well as advertising.
I can honestly assure you we weren't playing on anyone as I am as fascinated as anyone by all things paranormal. Most of our events are £5.50 for workshops etc or £2 for fairs including free talks as well as free talks and lectures at libraries or discussion groups at just £1 to cover tea and coffee.
Sorry to dig up an old thread but just wanted to clear that up!

Cheers, Dave

Hi Toula,

I hope this isn't considered advertising but since the success of the Evening of the Paranormal I launched a small business called the Wirral Psychic & Paranormal Workshop. We have a website www.wppw.org.uk and we run monthly events and workshops as well as the fairs.
We are also on facebook. We are theworkshopper on FB but searching for Wirral Psychic usually brings us up too.

Thanks,

Dave

Yep bit expensive

Unfortunately it was an expensive event to put on at the time as we had three brilliant speakers and the venue to pay for and we had a great night, albeit we could have done with an extra half hour. A number of people have asked we do another event at the Williamson though I think with the renovations going on at the moment it wouldn't be practical.

Most of our events are priced around £5.50 for things like workshops and psychic evenings at Hoylake Community Centre. We also do a lot of free events too to support and promote local libraries.
