The Freeze Rave in a Cave continues to gather momentum. What started nearly one year ago as hushed conversations about a new venue for an established night is now being shouted from the roof tops! The Rave in the Cave experience is one that more and more punters continue to try, and everytime they come out of the venue with a huge satisfied grin!!

Now headlong into our summer sessions, the second of three shows cumulating with the 5th birthday in September, sees us again bringing some of the best international talent to Liverpool. This month we reach farther a field than normal, all the way to Sao Paulo, Brazil in fact as we present producer of the moment and one hot ticket in the shape of Christian Smith. Not only that, we present the official launch party of Christian’s new artist album, Directors Cut.

Christian as a producer needs little introduction. He has been responsible for some of the best techno and house cuts over the last number of years – with partner in crime John Selway, records like Total Departure and Move are stone wall classics to any fan of electronic music. The labels that Christian has released tracks on read like a who’s who of respectable and forward thinking labels – Adam Beyer’s Drumcode, Dubfire’s Sci+Tec, Renaissance, Steve Lawler’s Viva as well as Christians own legendary Tronic label.

2010 will see Christian embark on a world tour to accompany his soon to be released debut solo album “Director’s Cut” in March. Featuring a wealth of trademark high-impact productions, the album marks Christian’s evolution as a producer, now recognised across the scene for his melodic and emotive music that has the necessary quality to effortlessly cross genre boundaries and find favour with fans of house, progressive and techno

Christian DJ’s around the world and refuses to be pinned down to one sound, he doesn’t fit in the little genre boxes that people are so keen to put artists in. He plays everything between house and techno. He has never been a purist, and he simply believes that people go out to party and not to be bored. The secret is in the energy that he creates. It’s a lesson that this Swedish citizen learnt many years ago, when he spent the late 80’s in Germany soaking up the early house and techno sound of Sven Vath.

Now with massive crossover support for his music from dj's ranging from John Digweed to Carl Cox to Richie Hawtin, the future is very certain for Christian to stay on top as one of the leaders in forward thinking dance music through 2010 and beyond.

Supporting Christian and making her Liverpool debut is Rebekah who will warm things up nicely in the cave. An up and coming name with shows world wide supporting some of the biggest names in dance as well as regular appearances at UK festivals, Rebekah will hot foot it from Global Gathering to ensure the night gets off to a suitably quality start.

So, with some fantastic bookings in such a unique and intimate venue and with soooo much more to come in 2010, now is the time to get involved and become part of the Freeze family!
