Second Rally in my "Career"...same place..same car...different time (well obv )

Pro care Stages at 3 Sisters race track, Wigan

Were hoping to go one better this time...maybe 3rd in class....but judging by the competition we already know are taking part in our class....its gonna be a lot lot tougher..

Advantage to us though, weve been round there recently..and the car is going to be faster (thanks to new gearbox, Suspension etc)...so who knows...



Come check it out if you can....better than sitting in and watching this sort of thing in person...ACTUALLY SEE and SMELL and HEAR cars being thrashed...MkII Escorts...Imprezas...Darrian T-90s...Metro 6R4s...you name it..it'll most likely be there !!!!

Im not driving unfortunately....I just be the lowly Navigator hahaha....

Were in a Ford Fiesta XR2i (as in..its a 1.1 fiesta...hes dropped a 1.6 escort engine in it)....but Its amazing fun...

First stage starts 10am...well be there 6am..setting up...

Dont worry guys..if I can get my way, Ill get barney to compete in the New Brighton Stages this year..he said a maybe..but he doesnt want to trash the car on those huge death-like kerbs.

Weather was absolutely Sh*te !!!!!!

First stage, we decided to slap some road tyres on, instead of our slicks, to try and get some grip...

Big Mistake!!

We had a huge spin at about 60mph, did a 360, stalled then got going again. We Lost 30 seconds, which put us back to 57th place :<

Slicks went straight back on..and the grip available was ridiculous....we spent the rest of the day catching up to everyone else...overtaking 2 - 3 cars ech stage.

One particular stage, we came onto the stage behind an Impreza, and stuck with him for two laps...awesome!!!

End of the day, we finished 39th overall, and 10th in class....but from my maths, had we not had the spin..wed have finished in the Low 20s !!! and about 4/5 in class.

Ah well Never Mind... Theres always Next Time....Pics to Follow Soon

I think ...if my Driver agrees...that itll most likely be New Brighton Stages. being a Wallasey Member, I should be able to get an entry..so well see..

Thats if theres no more hes interested in doing during the summer....but if he wants me for anything..Im there..

Also.....the wheels on the car there are the normal road tyres...that we thought would give us an advantage...in the wet....which kinda backfired..
