Seems no one else wants to answer, ok here goes.
Laptops to play games on needs to be very high spec, you can upgrade Desktops but Laptops really cant be upgraded. If you want to play games get an Xbox or similar. Cheers

depending upon the age group zipper.

as many kids games are flash based and play on low spec machines.

A 13yr old + would expect a xbox or ps3/4

Wrong zipper.
He wants one for the kids to play ONLINE games, ie: Flash games, Adobe.

You don't need a top spec laptop for that.

Marks too polite, your being an ass and you know it so cut it out!

Once you get a laptop... get on game-oldies dot com !!!

It's the best site I've found for gaming ,pretty much flawless BUT.. the playstation emulator is too sl-ooow to enjoy !! but all of the nintendo, sega, nec, neo geo, capcom ,atari, amiga and retro arcadegame emulators will all load in seconds and play on a laptop ..and even a technophobe like me figured out how to use it with an old xbox controller !!! that was the only part that was difficult to figure out for me

Just my gaming website tip for the day :o)

It may be cheaper to go down the Second Tablet route.
They do come up In the for sale section often.
But a Laptop can double for homework too.

It might not be suitable afterall. The specs are as follows:

IBM Thinkpad R31
Celeron 1100Mhz
20Gb hard drive
376Mb RAM (two slots)
CD-ROM

I could probably put a larger hard drive in but the low memory is going to be an issue. It really needs to be 2Gb. Its SD-RAM too so I think you can only get that in 512Mb sticks.

Its a shame because the machine is in remarkable condition.

ok thanks anyway.

You're welcome to give it a try before you buy?

The laptop is all prepped if anyone is interested. I've upgraded the hard drive to 60Gb and installed Windows XP, which runs surprisingly well. There's a PCMCIA wireless card and carry case.

RAM to upgrade it to 1Gb will be about £6.50 from Ebay:
