I'm guessing he wants to resurrect some old footage from tape, wheels if you have bmwjoes no. I sold him a cracking Sony hi8/digital editor recorder, I'm sure he would borrow you it smile
Just text Joe now smile

How the deck does an IPhone convert Hi8?!?
I think he means it records in that format?
hi all
my blank message above, is from when I thought Id best just check before offering up an old Sony dcr-trv520 hi8 in the back room...
-having checked, I found the battery and lead arent with it, so its a bit of a paperweight at the mo?
-its not been used in a long while and Im not fussed about keeping it any longer, but I also see theres a tape still in the machine.
Id quite like to see whats on it (just in case!), but may well in the end pass the camera on to a new home.
Bugger frown do you have the power cable? Or is that missing aswell as the data cable and battery.

I'm dropping a fella off from work tonight to see if his camera will work.

Joe has moved house so he's looking for his.
Hi,
Is hi8 different to 8mm?

As i've one of these with case charger and battery, you can keep for a tenna.

Kev.
I got one from a mate in work but it wouldn't play the tapes,

Joe has just dropped off Ste's old player do gonna try that now wink
Right even Joes didn't work frown

It's digital 8 tape, all these so far are analogue frown they take the tapes fine but can't process the images.
Unfortunately there werent any leads in the carry case, only a couple of unopened hi8 120 tapes and one still stuck in the machine.
Id be willing to pass this machine on, once Id had a look at it.

Went to Fairs hifi, they said only place to get leads etc these days was via Sony plc, even battery and charger is 60 quid upwards!
Incredible to think that in just a few years, this once 'must have' item is little more than an outmoded relic of a bygone era

You can blame the iPhone 4 and it's HD camera for that smile
I think you can blame lots of camera and phones for the demise of these accient dinosor camera's.

So anyway IF someone has a "Digital 8" Camera or player please let me know if I can borrow it for a few beer tokens smile I can collect if you want and leave a deposit if your worried.
