Anyone got a spare power lead for a Fujistu Siemens Laptop please?
these can be quite expensive sometimes even around 80 quid.
Exactly Ste, £17.50 for a brand new one was the cheapest I've found, so was just wondering if any Wiki Members had a spare one that they can let go for cheaper than this.
I have a few knowcking round...
do you know what the rating is...
i.e output details from the old one...
heres an example of what I mean.
19v 6.3a 120w (Volts, amps and watts).
let us know and I will have a look tonight...
Will it tell me all this on the power pack?
What happened to yours?
We've had trouble with ours for ages.....just beeps alot....
The recliner chair chopped it up........
Heres what it says on the back of the adapter;
FSC part number - S26113-E519-V55
MODEL - ADP-65HB AD
INPUT - 100-240V ~ 1.5A 50-60HZ
OUTPUT - 20V 3.25A

sorry I didnt get back to you earlier..
Very pregnant missus has meant I have been off work for a few days , back n forth to hospital, so didnt get a chance to look.. will have a nose later and see what I have...
OK Mate, hope your Missus is OK.
Thanks
Sorry I didnt get back earler,it seems we have a large stubborn taurus baby, who won't leave. Still waiting now.
as for the power supply, Out of all of them, I have nothing above 19V. If you are desperate...there is a guy does tranmere carboot every sunday. sells computers and stuff is always on the back row, split over two tables, and he has a big storage box full of laptop power leads.
you will need to tell him its 20v 3.25A 65W, He charges between 10-15 quid, compared to a new one at about 30.... or you can pick one up on ebay, but its still going to be 15 quid or more with the postage.
sorry I couldnt help

Thanks anyway Phil. The same laptop has a cracked screen aswell, so to fix that aswell as a new power lead is going to be between £100-£150, might be best biting the bullet and getting a whole new laptop, albeit bottom of the market features but its only used for web browsing and photo storage/viewing.
funny - our fujitsu siemens amilo is in exactly the same state as your's. though the power cable has stopped misbehaving now. Still gets dead hot. We just never leave it plugged in if we're out lol Screen ain't too bad - crack is livable despite pixels dying every day.
But the kids have claimed it as there's so someone's happy with it
if the screen is really knackered and the power lead too, I can probably offer you some cash for it, rather than you chuck it, or (as i often do...) keep it for a couple of years, then chuck it.....
let me know if you are interested...

But I would rather put money in the pocket of a Fellow Wiki Member than some random stranger on E-bay.
