Is there a legitimate way to avoid paying the extra stamp duty on a second property?

If the second property is to become your main residence and you sold another main residence before Nov 26th 2015 then there is a loophole.

The other obvious loophole is someone else buying it but this is risky.

I respect people who pay their taxes without trying to weasel out of them.
