General advise please.on an invisible boiler.

I am a pensioner on credit, and I beleive that I am entitled to a (FREE) boiler from the now sitting goverment.

I have now had two people sign me up for a new (FREE) boiler, in my home and they took my pension documents and also told me that I qualify for the invisible boiler.
It has now been over four months since the said people told me I qualified.
They have told me that I would get some other person to pressure/test/survey my original installation and then will get the go ahead for them to proceed with the installation within two weeks.
GREAT as I though "but wait" whats the catch I am still waiting for my free boiler/survey.
Has my name and all my information been passed to other companies, that are ringing me up regular and telling me that I am entitled to a (FREE) Boiler and their records show I have not registered/signed up for one, and don't delay order it now or miss out, they don't know if I have ordered a boiler from the people above, or do they
Is this one of the now sitting goverment (SCAMS) or as anyone ever received a (FREE) boiler. Please let me know before the winter sets in.Bruuuu.

So if any company rings you up about giving you a (FREE) boiler tell them to politely P..... Off.
I also believe that some of these companies have got no engineers to do the installations.and if their managers would care to PM/ring me instead off a machine ringing me first, I will talk to them and see if they can convince me its not a SCAM.Gerry1

SOMEONE has to pay for these boilers so my GUESS is that these companies take all your genuine details then use those to "acquire" payment for the hardware eg from government, but then of course just pocket the money. Eventually the companies concerned likely "evaporate" into thin air - but reform/continue the scam under a different business name.

Re-state - this is a GUESS. Has to be because I have never investigated the small print in such arrangements.

[Hi, ZipperClub
you may well be correct, but if they have put it on step then the Scrapmen must be employed by the coalition and doing the installation.that figures.
