Friend told me today street racing is a 9 piont offence how true is that and how many of us are guilty cos he said racing off from the lights can be counted as racing.

I got 3 points for racing a Police Van at a set of traffic lights, The stupid thing is i was on a 50cc Scooter and i didnt break the speed limit.

I will have to find info on weather its a ban or not. I know if you are caught doing twice the speed limit, then it is normally a ban, but I will check.

Doesnt racing from the lights count as driving without due car and attention, driving recklessley or driving while not in control of the vehicle?

Someone I know with a 200 was following someone in a Fiesta 1.1 a few months ago - I think the fiesta was trying, but the 200 was just staying with him - not even trying to get past.

Anyway, the Fiesta lost control (one rear tyre was down to 7psi), the guy with the 200 stopped, called emergency services etc, but one of the occupants in the fiesta died frown

The guy I know is now doing 5 years for manslaughter eek
