right say your behind a bizzie that is speeding and it has no flashing lights on and they clock your sorta keeping up with them and they pull you over can they legally do you? or can you **** them with by saying that if they do u , u will do them for speedin

I wouldn't really know. I would say that I haven't seen any police going over the speed limits. IF I was a Police officer exceeding the speed limit and the person behind was following, then NO, I wouldn't pull them over, I really would have no right to do so, would I?

a single maned police car with out a speed camera can not acuratley judge your speed, therefore he could only you warn you and advise you to take more care whilst driving.

how ever if there is more than 1 officer he can judge over distance and speed travelled your speed and can therfore have reason to stop you.

they can not provide you with a postive speed without the reading of a camera.

police cars should not be speeding without their lights or claxions on.

if you wanted to take the REG and time down and report it as a misconduct.

Is it fair to say also that,

1. If you were to speed behind a police car which was speeding,
   with out his lights or sirens then,
   i think you could procecute you as you are speeding?
2. I seem to remember they changed the law regarding Ambulances
   and fire engines as they could be procecuted,
   or a ambulance driver was?
   I cant remember but i vaild point?
3. If you reported a police car speeding with out lights or sirens,
   and found that it was on a shout via the control room,
   i'm sure they wouldnt be procecuted?

These are only questions and thoughts,

i'm going to check this out at the local police station and i'll let you know my result

just got back from the local station this is what they had to say:

Q.A Answer: Yes. The Police can stop anyone found to be speeding and they can give you a ticket.

Q.B Answer: any driver to be found speeding in a emergency vehicle without a vaild reason then they will be procecuted.

Q.C Answer: if the emergency vehicle was on a shout without there lights on and it was checked through the control room and verified then there would be no procecution.
The officers reply to this was: some times we go on a shout without lights and sirens on depends upon the traffic and the area and weather there are pedestrans around, but if any emergency vehicle were to be found out that they were nt on a shout and were found to be speeding then they would be procecuted.

I think if they are on a "shout" they should always have lights on, not necessarily the sirens but defo the lights. otherwise they should be treated like everyone else.

i always see em speeding with out lights on... if i see one speeding ill always stick wiv em just 2 see what they do!!!

The probabilty of proving that a police car
was speeding with out reason is going to
be difficult for starters.

On the whole there doing a good job,
and its a mission you will loose.

Its wrong for them to Speed with out reason,
i'm not saying its right, but its one of those
things in live you just have to live with.

If they are speeding and there was no
blues n two's and were involved in an accident,
then i'm sure the **** would hit the fan.

That's my opinion anyways..
