Ok, i ordered two things from Japan and paid for EMS posting which for the UK is Parcelforce. However they can't find our address (Since our road has only existed for 5 months) and they're trying to ship to an incorrect Address (Springfield Avenue instead of Springfield Place) i Haven't had any notification off them of import charges (even though i need to pay them) and i've payed over £200 for it all and don't want it going to the tip or someone who shouldn't have it. is there any way i can sort it out before it becomes a Worst Case Scenario

Parcelforce we know where you live but we will leave a note for you to pick the goods up from the office that's if we can find it, ring up Parcelforce Liverpool office and ask them is it there, and go and pick it up if it is, you would have done better putting the goods on a canal boat than letting them "deliver" it might have taken a bit longer but you would have had them.

Can you collect it from the ParcelForce depot/local DSO? They may also have an option to collect it from a local Post Office (usually a charge of 50p or summit).

When I first moved in to place, the builders had literally finished the day previous (2 months late) and it too wasn't on the Royal Mail address database, but when I was requesting deliveries, I found all the delivery services to be quite accommodating when explaining how to find the property. When Royal Mail initially added it to their database they added the plot number instead of the apartment number, and I still get the odd item of mail coming for the plot number rather than the apartment number for some reason, which is a bit of a worry as there is a slight discrepancy thanks to there being no number 13 lol - fortunately the Post Man seems to check the name/realize it says Plot.

After 5 months though, your address should deffo be present and correct on the Royal Mail database, I seem to recall when I queried it being a plot number which was incorrect, they said it take a maximum of 6 - 8 weeks to update, though is usually much quicker than that. Have you tried speaking with ParcelForce customer services and working towards a resolution with them?

Update: Both items are at the Depot in Broadgreen (Where I Can't Get To) So i've decided to set the grump at them on the phone, that should sort it alllllllllllll out.

Did you get your gear, Tom?

no, the drivers STILL can't find my address so i blatently told them it on Google Maps (teeling them to head for the old demolished road to find our's) and even giving them a contact number incase they get lost again. If this isn't sorted by the week, i'm gonna have to find someone to help us get to the depot in Broadgreen and get it there myself, the grump refuses due to petrol money but i'd rather lose £10 of petrol than £250 merchandise
