Ya skyline is awesome matey great to see it at the meets. Yeah you have to get 18 or 19s.Any plans for the body work?
Posted By: StuyMac Re: StuyMacs Nissan R32 GTR Skyline - 29th Oct 2004 11:30am
Im thinking 18's for the car, but the price difference in wheels and tyres (245's all round) between 17's and 18's is quite a bit frown

I have some Nismo N1 Vents on order for the front bumper, but the rest of the bodywork is staying std smile

Get the power up and leave it looking std for the Wolf in sheeps clothing appearance wink

Yeah thats the only thing rubber is pricey. Ah very wise but at the end of the day you gotta skyline so anyone racin ya is gonna get left red faced!
I gotta mate whos done the same with his black R5.

Yer very sexy car stuy!!!!
Posted By: DavidB Re: StuyMacs Nissan R32 GTR Skyline - 29th Oct 2004 5:37pm
Best shaped Skyline I reckon. I reckon you should stick with 17's, just out of personal preference, and it's good you're keeping the body standard, no-one's going to want to buy a hyper modded car in a few years, and it looks good enough.
Posted By: StuyMac Re: StuyMacs Nissan R32 GTR Skyline - 2nd Nov 2004 5:11pm
Getting to that time of year where is time to change the coolant to have a higher concentration of antifreeze, so whilst doing it, Ive ordered some Samco Coolant hoses to replace the old rubber jobbies - should add a little more colour under the bonnet smile
Posted By: sted Re: StuyMacs Nissan R32 GTR Skyline - 2nd Nov 2004 11:24pm
cool man really want to see ur car u go the meets?
Posted By: Anonymous Re: StuyMacs Nissan R32 GTR Skyline - 2nd Nov 2004 11:25pm
That is such a nice car, but is it possible to get clear/smoked indicators as that would finish the classy look off!!! i like the way your going for the standardish look because it aint like this is a corsa (no offence to corsa owners, this is a beautiful car that doesn't need adjusting....
Posted By: StuyMac Re: StuyMacs Nissan R32 GTR Skyline - 3rd Nov 2004 10:38am
Lol, I did think about clears, but only 1 company makes them - in japan, and they are £200 plus the postage eek
Posted By: Anonymous Re: StuyMacs Nissan R32 GTR Skyline - 3rd Nov 2004 2:52pm
woah 200 smackeroons!!!! i reckon ya tint em ya self then, seriously it would make a hell of a differance!!!

Fingers crossed, Ive just managed to buy a pair of tubbys wink

A Pair of Hybrids, consisting of Sunny GTiR Compressor wheels, 360 degree bearings stagger gap rings. Each one of these should be capable of supporting 350bhp+ each eek

Also a pair of HKS turbo elbows, and a trust front pipe smile

Just waiting on a phone call to confirm I can have them smile
Posted By: lazy_ben Re: StuyMacs Nissan R32 GTR Skyline - 9th Nov 2004 1:26pm
youre ****in nuts! hats off to that man laugh
Posted By: Cali_16v Re: StuyMacs Nissan R32 GTR Skyline - 9th Nov 2004 1:27pm
bloody hell mate. how far you going to take this car. 1000+ bhp
Posted By: StuyMac Re: StuyMacs Nissan R32 GTR Skyline - 9th Nov 2004 2:20pm
Initial aim is 5-600bhp, Even with those turbos I still need new management and bigger injectors to break the 450 mark frown

Still not heard back about the turbos though frown
Posted By: StuyMac Re: StuyMacs Nissan R32 GTR Skyline - 16th Nov 2004 10:00am
Still waiting on the HKS elbows - these should be sent later this week, but heres the tubbys and the front pipe smile

i agree wif red cinq, smoked indicatiors on that would make it look the fully monty!
Posted By: StuyMac Re: StuyMacs Nissan R32 GTR Skyline - 17th Nov 2004 11:35am
Some slightly better pics - this time with a fag packet for an idea of scale smile

The pic of the front pipe shows the exhaust size, as it leaves the turbos eek - 2 1/2" and goes in to the rest of the system with it all 3" smile

Awesome happy

You got the space under that bonnet ??

When you fitting them?
Posted By: StuyMac Re: StuyMacs Nissan R32 GTR Skyline - 17th Nov 2004 2:17pm
Lol, yeah, loadsa space - they even sit bottom mount smile

On their own, they dont look much - just like a GTi-R turbo that has been played with, but get a pair of them wink

As soon as the elbows arrive and we get a decent weekend (Or decent day for me to book off) Ill get them bolted up laugh
Posted By: StuyMac Re: StuyMacs Nissan R32 GTR Skyline - 29th Nov 2004 12:14pm
Had a look at the job over the weekend, and as easy as the job is, theres just loads of fiddling round frown

Access need to be from on top of the engine, then under, then on top, then under, so, I decided Its going in to garage on Wednesday to have them fitted laugh

Anyone wanna buy a pair of std Skyline turbos wink
Posted By: StuyMac Re: StuyMacs Nissan R32 GTR Skyline - 7th Dec 2004 12:30pm
Picked the car up last night smile

Had the boost backed off to .7 bar, and it felt faster than the old tubbys at 1bar.

Had a play on the way home, and ive got them up to .95bar (about 14psi) and its shifting now wink All 4 tyres are struggling for traction in the dry.

Need to get the boost up to about 1.25 - 1.3 bar for my "High" setting and it should be a little more interesting wink

Got a couple of problems with the car at the moment frown

Need to replace a few injectors and I need a battery.

Injectors should be here as soon as the post is back to normal, and Ill get a battery in the week smile

My N1 Vents have eventually arrived from Japan so just need to get them painted and fitted now smile
Posted By: Anonymous Re: StuyMacs Nissan R32 GTR Skyline - 4th Jan 2005 2:28pm
are you going for the same injectors or going for bigger ones? laugh

lets see some pics of the vents to cool
Posted By: StuyMac Re: StuyMacs Nissan R32 GTR Skyline - 4th Jan 2005 2:51pm
Just bought 4 std injectors from a GTi-R to tide me over for now.

Bigger injectors are on the cards this year, but I need a new engine managment to run them, which I cant afford all at one go right now.

The std injectors are a good upgrade for the S13 200sx, so Ill get my money back on them when I sell them anyway smile

Vents:

Them holes are well purty stuey. How much they set you back. Are they official nissan parts?
Posted By: StuyMac Re: StuyMacs Nissan R32 GTR Skyline - 11th Jan 2005 3:21pm
The vents are Nismo jobbies, and the ones I have are GRP copies which where just under £100 delivered from Japan eek

I Think the original Nismo N1 vents are over £200 for the pair eek
Posted By: scoop Re: StuyMacs Nissan R32 GTR Skyline - 11th Jan 2005 3:22pm
I was about to say if they wer over 200 pound for two then get replicas.Misterad could probably knock some of them up. They dont look too complex.Compliment the car so much tho
Posted By: StuyMac Re: StuyMacs Nissan R32 GTR Skyline - 11th Jan 2005 3:26pm

Posted By: Dazza Re: StuyMacs Nissan R32 GTR Skyline - 17th Jan 2005 1:57pm
There nice them vents, but a TAD expensive but i beleive this is b'cos there the only company that make them? Whens my go in ya car!! lol
Posted By: StuyMac Re: StuyMacs Nissan R32 GTR Skyline - 7th Mar 2005 11:15am
Sold the Skyline now frown

Sad to see her go, but these things are just to damn expensive to keep on the road, guess it could be the end of a dream, but I think the end of a nightmare may sum it up a little better.

The GTR was stonking when it was running, but unfortunatly, that was less often than when it wasnt running frown

Soooo, Back to a 200SX for me laugh
Posted By: Dazza Re: StuyMacs Nissan R32 GTR Skyline - 7th Mar 2005 11:27am
