What are ya plans for it mate??

I suggest the Rally Look, seeing as they were never really given the chance to do damage in the WRC..

I want to m0ove the intercooler for a start, how silly putting it in the hottest part of the engine bay???? So the bumper will be cut and the intercooler placed at the front of the engine.

I wouldn`t mind the rally look but car would have to stay black.

Headlights need replacing for quads if possible as it looks too much like a sunny for me.

Wheels have gotta go but in good time, not in any hurry.

K & N will be moved to the underneath of the car to get constant flow of cold air instead of warm when engines hot smile

Sounds really Good mate...

Deffo keep it black, would look immense with a cage nd things. Maybe even bonnet mounted Lightpod?? (OTT for some)

Lol, i used to have a honda accord coupe mk1 with night rider lights in the bonnet vent, that looked pretty cool.
will think of something different though.

Japanese have it right with motors methinks, if only our country followed suit. frown

i ave seen this car in the flesh and wow for the age of the car its in excellent condition and wot a beast it is on the road wen we was pickin this monster up and i can assure ou all its extreamly quick i must say my 2.0ltr 130BHP mondeo was stuggling to keep up with this car.

Excellent car i must say well done steven good choice u ave made gettin this vehicle thumbsup
Posted By: MrPhil Re: Totopop: Nissan Pulsar GTiR - 13th Jul 2008 8:36am
bin the top mount off, no point in repositioning it just get a front mount kit. Always liked these cars, gearboxs are prone to failure at around 300bhp, also big wheels can cause headaches, some people say keep with 15's some say 16's are the best.

Hope it all goes well with it.

Thanks guys, any hints appreciated thumbsup

The spotlights were painted black for some strange reason? well i`ve cleaned them up now and they look a lot better.

Also painted the lettering on the tyres to take the eyes off the crappy wheels laugh

Been working on my other car today, got the engine out finaly scott wink (thanks for the help on said vehicle)

Moving tomorrow so hopefully make a start on this car through the week smile
Posted By: MGCraig Re: Totopop: Nissan Pulsar GTiR - 13th Jul 2008 10:35pm
The cleaned spotlights look awesome mate. Mad why they were painted to start with.

Also, an idea for wheels (may or may not agree), theyre fairly expensive and rare, but a nice set of white 5 spoke compo's?????

Have you thought bout Mudflaps as well (Colour etc)...once its all done, they really help finish the look off, as well as keepin the back clean thumbsup I know a lot of people dont like them tho to be honest

TBH Id be quite surprised if it didnt leave you for dead raftl

They are 225bhp std, with 4WD.

Very very similar SR20DET to my old 180SX, though the diff/gearbox reliability is questionable at the 300bhp / 300ft/lb mark and on the roads they have a tendancy to understeer.

Ive driven a few - very quick out of the box, but Ive always thought they where a bit unentertaining to drive frown

If you need any help with the motor.... wink

the chance of him lettin me ave ago of this are very very slim lmao he was cryin wen i was drivin his beloved MR2 raftl
Posted By: Waddi Re: Totopop: Nissan Pulsar GTiR - 24th Jul 2008 10:33pm
Very nice Toto, im with you on the tyres tho, the white writing looks cool.

Just keep hold of this one for more than 5 minutes.

White alloys would look smart and a FMIC would be a beast. Headlights look fin imho, what about just some eyebrows for them and a new grille.
Posted By: _Ste_ Re: Totopop: Nissan Pulsar GTiR - 24th Jul 2008 10:45pm
Bit stuck on this car at mo as its not registered yet, need time to goto DVLA, work work work at mo frown

Don`t worry, i`ll be keeping this as well as my MR2 smile

Cheers stuey smile

Like the idea of the white alloys (spinkings alloys are real nice) something similar to those with a deeper dish would be cool.
Gonna see if i can get a bonnet pod for spotlamps but after the MOT as i think they will fail smile

it might be a while b4 ya see this on the road as he aint got time to sort it out yet thumbsdown
Posted By: Davey_Martin Re: Totopop: Nissan Pulsar GTiR - 26th Jul 2008 1:45am
white wheels will look great without the tyre paint, u'll look like a floppy wristed fooker with that and the new wheels lol - i remember a guy down my road used to paint the tyres on his pug 205 religiously about 10 years ago, god it looked awful... each to their own tho lol

saying that, im the same with regards to the light pod - unless u're gonna rally the thing there's no point - they r only there to serve a purpose, so again, unless u plan on rallying ur car...

just my opinions of course

mad had a day off today but got called into work frown i was hoping to pay the DVLA a visit to start the ball rolling on this too frown

The light pods will be a nice feature to the vehicle and i don`t like having the same car as everyone else, the pods and tyre paint will differentiate my vehicle from all the other pulsars out there and i wont be branded a copycat (so to speak) if that makes me look gay then so be it, at the end of the day i`ll be the one laughing when people taking the piss are just a distinctive dot in my rear view mirror wink

Im happy one of my ideas has been properly thought about thumbsup thumbsup

I was gonna buy a universal Lightpod for my Micra, cos I do eventually wanna rally it.

Thing is Davey, people who make the car look like rallycars, only ever go as far as Mud Flaps, and a showcage. Thats it. To get the lightpod on the car would look fantastic, and show the car what it was capable of back in the day.

LIGHTPOD LIGHTPOD LIGHTPOD

Heres the sorta thing I want for the Micra...similar idea to the Sunny...

Yes they are the ones craig, i`d like a set with the 2 middle lights raisedslightly if i can get them.

That wide arch kit looks fantastic thumbsup
Posted By: MGCraig Re: Totopop: Nissan Pulsar GTiR - 31st Jul 2008 11:45pm
Yup, its the old works Nissan Micra Kitcar, Giant Killing 1.3.

The lights you want are more oftenly used on the Imprezas if Im not mistaken, sure it wouldnt be too difficult to transfer them over.

Thought about a set of White 5 Spoke Compos????

Also, the wheels on the Fiat are blatantly Go Kart wheels, with normal Road tyres stretched over them hahahaha raftl raftl
Posted By: _Ste_ Re: Totopop: Nissan Pulsar GTiR - 9th Sep 2008 10:38pm
lol, i wouldnt have those tyres over them, those wheels are also known from the mk2 essie and capri days as `supa/superslot/mags` wink
Posted By: StuyMac Re: Totopop: Nissan Pulsar GTiR - 10th Sep 2008 9:00am
Ste - you have some strange tastes lol

Personally I like the wheels on it - not to sure about the white lettering on the tyres think but the wheel on the back looks too big, and the car looks like a micro machine, and those Uno wheels are too euro on a jap car.... think

Posted By: DavidB Re: Totopop: Nissan Pulsar GTiR - 10th Sep 2008 11:06am
Those wheels have been banded. If you take steels to a fabrictor, they will take the rim off, cut them in half and weld a strip of metal in, and then weld the lot back together again. I'd have steelies over alloys anyday, I've become sick of aftermarket alloys.
Posted By: MrPhil Re: Totopop: Nissan Pulsar GTiR - 10th Sep 2008 4:10pm
According to Gtir owners 16's are the ones to have.

Their is a company who do banded wheels in the uk but they are expensive. Plus they are illegal on the uk roads.

Jap 15's or 16's with a dark gold colour would look great.

Some thing like these...

so long as they wheels are certified they are perfectly legal, and to get those ones cost around 100-150 a rim

Posted By: _Ste_ Re: Totopop: Nissan Pulsar GTiR - 13th Oct 2008 10:34pm
Unfortunatly this car was sold due to my impatience of getting it registered and the fact that i`m restoring my MR2 which will be costing more than i thought.

Dave Murdock of MADD Motors now has it and John Barr told me before that he`s just blew the clutch out & asked him how much to fit a new one (funny, i was at Daves before & he did`nt mention it?) no Tut tut, NEVER take one of these to the extreme!
The clutch in this was perfect no

I have a Renault 5 GT Turbo & my MR2 MK1 now, the 5 Turbo needs a clutch as it slips VERY slightly in high gears when the turbo kicks in but i dont give a shit, i`ll just throw a new one in next week and wait for the head gasket to pop grin
