Ok, Well it may not look it but this is a big step up from the Bravo, I didnt go for looks with this car i went for power, comfut and its got all that, Its a 1.8i 16v with elc windows, cup holders lol air con etc etc and very nice to drive and comfutable.

Lets start with the specs of my old car and this car :

The Bravo:
Engine Size 1370 cc
Cylinders 4
0-60 mph 13.4 s
Power Output 80 bhp
Valves 12
Torque 112 Nm - 82 lb-ft
Top Speed 106 mph
35MPG

The Carisma:
Engine Size 1834 cc
Cylinders 4
0-60 mph 9.9 s
Power Output 114 bhp
Valves 16
Torque 162 Nm 119 lb-ft
Top Speed 125 mph
37MPG

Its about the same on petrol aswell lol and i get all that extra power laugh

Plans:

Nuffin yet cause i need a job first but when i do get a job i wanna:

OUTSIDE:
Slam her
Nice set of rims
Nice evo spoiler
Back box
Mesh front grill and bumper
Get some square number plates and offset them lol
Tints

INSIDE:
Sports wheel
Dvd head unit
White dials with blue lights
Nice boot install (its fooking big lol)
Some side recliners or a hole leather re-trim
a few fancy lights lol

ENGINE:
Air filter
Few crome bits and fancy pipes
Facny lights

Will be other things as i go along lol

This wont be done anytime soon as im going to keep this car for a long time and take my time doing it up cause i like it smile

The bravo was half done when i got it so this car should be fun doing up cause i can do everything i "want" to do on her smile

It may look like a family car but it dont half go smile

Ok now for abit of info on the car:

I paid £400 for her with MOT till Oct and TAX till june, Runs smooth and the body is pritty clean, 103,000 on the clock, and its only an extra £150 a year on the insure aswell laugh

Ok im boring myself now, So here are a few pics, Enjoy but dont laugh tease smile raftl

First off, Bye bye Fiat Bravo 1.4s 12v frown

Very good, big step up from the Bravo.

i'm sure it will look sweet with the mods you got planned.

First off, with any money you got left over get some wheels.
Money that was left over has been put aside for feb bills lol, That way everyones a winner smile

I get to keep a car on the road and my mom gets off my back lmao raftl
ha ha, a man with a plan. i like it.
[Linked Image]

Thats the look you want
this looks alrite for practicality yet decent... not totally to my likin but just some simple mods

[Linked Image]
only thing i'd say is wheels to small for size of car.

But like you say for practicality small wheels cheap tyres.
tbh i think it's the size of the wheels that were makin it look a bit odd to me lol, price diff between 16's and 17's aint really too big a difference these days anyway lol
Tell me about it, the wheels are that small they sit right in the arch so it looks like its got a wide arch kit on it lmao raftl

It will go down the same road as the bravo, Not ott nice a suttle smile

The thing is i hate the Bravos standard but i loved mine, I think every car looks poo standard but once its had a few mods they look 100x better smile

Like them pics of what my car could look like, They look nuffin like my car lol cause they look nice.....

Time will tell..........

Davey_Martin, I love that one you have posted smile

Only probs im having its finding parts, Dont seem to be that maybe about on ebay etc etc, Not looking to buy yet but need to know where im going to get my bits from when i get a job raftl
makes it all the more fun and unique with it being difficult to find parts.

Dont forget the idea of using parts off other cars and modifying them to fit wink

has the potential to be a very nice car with the mods you plan to do.
Yep like getting a galant spoiler or even a lancer spoiler to fit ????

Yeah cheers Joe, Ill keep that in mind wink

First mod i did was take the towbar off haha raftl

Next mod will be CW stickers next thu wink wink

I wounder what evo bits will fit without major modifying, Also Mondeo parts as it looks abit like a Mondeo lol
your best bet might be to try scrappies for mondeos and the like.

That way, you can try before you buy and they will appreciate you taking the bits off the car even if you dont want it lol

an easy but not 100% free is take the air box off and put a pair of tights or stockings over the open pipe. then you have one hell of a noise.

only thing is the air isn't given a direct route intot he engine and the filter isn't as fine.
Posted By: MattLFC Re: Mitsubishi Carisma 1.8i 16v GLX - 30th Jan 2008 7:23pm
I took my air filter off my Clio Weber completely... boy did that add some grunt!

No need for a sock filter; I was getting rid of the car lol.

The induction noise was insane!
Posted By: Civic_Coupe_Sean Re: Mitsubishi Carisma 1.8i 16v GLX - 30th Jan 2008 7:23pm
Would a sock be better as i wouldnt want to get a lader in the tights and shit get into my engine lol...

Could have a pipe leading from the bottom of the bumper to the sock raftl

1x sean
1x Carisma
£10 petrol
Posted By: MattLFC Re: Mitsubishi Carisma 1.8i 16v GLX - 30th Jan 2008 7:27pm
You need to make sure you have a cold air feed running right to the intake on the engine, otherwise the air is warm by the time it gets there.

smile
Posted By: Cali_16v Re: Mitsubishi Carisma 1.8i 16v GLX - 30th Jan 2008 7:29pm
solid cold air feed = drain pipe ?????
Posted By: vw_kyle Re: Mitsubishi Carisma 1.8i 16v GLX - 30th Jan 2008 7:30pm
yeah get a nice big plastic pipe and run it to the air filter just done it to mine just hid the end of the pipe behind the grill

Unfortunatly my cordless drill threw its hand in a while ago frown

I still have the large drill bits though - ideal for the bodge, if someone wants to bring a cordless drill to the next meet...

Failing that, I can do it outside the house with a power drill...

You need decent sized holes to make the deep growl - hoses made by a screwdriver just aint enough raftl
Posted By: Civic_Coupe_Sean Re: Mitsubishi Carisma 1.8i 16v GLX - 1st Feb 2008 3:28pm
Will a 24v cordless hammer drill do the job ? raftl
