derek ,i am confused,if the first picture shows what looks like the tunnel toll booths roughly just right off centre,then where does that flyover lead to? and also looks very long,is that the one that was knocked down cos it just doesnt look like it is in the right place to me.looks like it goes down argyle street on that picture.

I think there was a wallasey spur coming out of the tunnel that joined up with the one in New Chester rd going into town

some sort of medieval time bench made from a hollowed out tree??

I believe it was part of the then sanitation system early sewer pipe

Looking At the second pic of the cellar it shows just how small the thing is. great pics gang. as for that pipe thing looks like a really old wooden hollow or iron pipe.

i know wot it is and used for. its out of the priory? not a bench. sorry

There were markings like this, or very similiar on a few of the keystones.
