Yerrr it was great! Nice to see fellow wiki's too. Really enjoyed it apart from being ambushed at the start to watch the 'time capsule' video which was 30 minutes long and er, not my cup of tea.
Me+ mate were crying laughing at one point!! Literally.
The tower was great-wow the views! Although it was a bit claustrophobic and me mate whose a shortarse struggled with the steep last step haha and could hear d.d laughing behind her!! Hope you got some good pics gang!
Nice to meet mrs t.c too.
We ended up at the cider festival in the cheshire cheese for one- surprised to see no derek!
Tc-saw that weird cheapo grave-strange!!

Wouldnt surprise me! We were REALLY really having to try hard to hold together during THAT video. Some fella kept coming in and snarling at us...
The vid was snippets of church life-rainbows, the mothers union, youth club etc and also the preparations for sunday service etc. About ten minutes of a little old dear lighting candles and arranging flowers.
Its noted that other wikis got away with it, i think. Derek stuck his head in and done one quick. Lol
Posted By: TRANCENTRAL Re: ST HILARYS TOWER - 26th Jul 2009 8:28pm
this grave stone is a woman who lived in the oldest house in wallasy folk law says this was the site of the old cross before the church was built the old cross dissapeared and left a hole in the slab witch is hollow was later covered with a placque! think

butchers use to store meat in the tower one night a young butcher was working the night the tower was set alight and the smell of bacon linged over the town for weeks! every now and again the smell of bacan can be smelt in the tower and a ghostly scream can be heard? shocked
