1330 Edward III granted the Priors and their successors forever the right to ferry over the Mersey
1536 Circa The Priory closed

1572 Worsley died, the lands and ferry passed to the Powell family
1643 Cavalier troops, ‘Kept a guard about Berket wood’
1644 Cavalier troops, ‘possessed themselves of Berkett in Worrall’

happy good information there.. It basically tells me alot.. If the ferry's where not allowed by Edaward III then the wirral would of most prob been still unpopulated or populated alittle.. But it also tells me thats why most of us sound like scousers cause we are actually from over the water. I dunno it makes sense to people cause it must i bet somebody has family in liverpool..
