This new standard is intended to replace wired USB connections. Thus, instead of linking your printer to your PC via USB cable, you will be able to connect it wirelessly.
It offersvery fast data transfer rates but only across short distances, a bit like a cross between Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Manufacturers have had to adjust their hardware slightly to suit regulations in the UK but the first wireless USB devices should be on sale soon. http://www.usb.org/developers/wusb/http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wireless_USB
