Though after an independent review ITV cleared all its current shows, the broadcaster recognised the impact from problems across the industry: "The poor execution of these services across the sector has reduced consumer confidence and is having a material impact on premium rate telephone services revenue." ITV said it will publish the findings of its independent review.

Though ITV1 saw its advertising revenues down 9.6% in the first half of 2007 compared to last year, the network's total ad revenue was down 5.7% year-on-year. Ad revenue at ITV1 makes up 90% of the company's total.

Can't say I am surprised, the recent multiple scams regarding phone-in competitions and the like that have involved "all" major PSB's (BBC, ITV, Channel 4), will have seriously dented the publics trust in them.
