Hi does anybody have any info on Crest/Cress House in Bidston village. Its remains can be found in the under growth to the left of Bidston Hall. My dad remembers playing on the lawns and in the gardens of the house in the 50s. The house had already gone possibly bombed in WW2 but the gardens where looked after. Its all over grown now but found some large sandstone bricks and roof tiles. Will probably be able to see more in the autumn when all the leaves and shrubs have gone.

Could you mean "Ceres"? this was located roughly where Broadheath Avenue is now (as was Merle Dene).
Edit: in fact there is a road called "Ceres Court"
