Hi, sorry if I've posted this in the wrong place.

What I need to know is who is the head honcho of Wirral Mini & Junior Football League ?
I need to make a complaint and I have no idea who to complain too!

Thanks

Maybe one of these can help or point you in the right direction.

Thanks bert1...I'll have a look through that!!
The problem I have is the person I need to complain about is actually the chairman of the team... but he's the manager too...I'm hoping there is someone higher than him.

Thanks Again

It may well have to do with the nature of your complaint.
As far as I know individual clubs run their teams as they want to, with managers picking and training If anything to do with that I think it's up to the parents to sort out whether the player stays or goes.

i managed a kids team from under 8's to under 16's. in the first instance you need to contact the secretary of your kids football team and make a complaint through them. if you get no joy from them then you need to contact the secretary of whichever league your childs team is in. the post by bert above gives you the league secretarys name. i was in the wallasey league so we always dealt with hughie gilmour.
hope this helps.

Hi Maisie
The head Off Wirral Mini Soccer League Is A Guy Called Stephen Holmes, He Lives In Eastham, He Does not Respond Too Phone Calls, He Very Rarely Responds To E-Mails Also, My Husband Had The Same Problem At His Old Club So He Left And Started His Own Team, Their Is A WMJFL Meeting Schedueled For This Sunday Evening At The Bridge In Postsunlight, If You Could Make it You Would be Better Catching Him Face To Face, It Is Annoying When He Does'nt Respond To Any Messages, My other Half Allways makes A Point Too catch Him Off Guard At These Meetings, Hope This Helps.

Right ok here's what's going on...been on the phone to the manager/club secretary.

Young Lions, run by George Ringrose, who happens to be manager and club secretary. It's actually him I want to complain about.
My son has played for Young Lions for roughly 18 months. He's not the best player in the world but for a 10 year he tries his best.

The manager all season has had my son on the bench for the majority of the matches....only getting 5 minutes per match. I spoke to him over this and he said that my son wasn't a very strong player. (It's kids football not the premier league). So he puts other boys on before he'll put my son on.

Anyway at the beginning of May this year my son decided he'd had enough and wanted to leave and find a new team to play for. I told him he should stay till the end of the season and we'll look for another team in the mean time.

Because my son decided to stay till then of the season and said he only wanted to train with them, but didn't want to play anymore matches.

End of season presentation on Sunday, and because my son didn't play any matches towards the end of the season, he has not been included and will not be receiving an end of season trophey after being promised by the manager a few weeks ago that he would get one...my son is devastated. This man has got no right to do this to my son...he has taken the mick once to often.

What do I do?

Kids football may not be the premier league but it is just as competitive. I can only suggest that you try and get your son into a bottom of the table team if he just wants a game of football and not a pot hunting team with a win win mentality manager.
I think the club itself buys the trophies and decide who gets them.
You can take heart that kids improve their playing as they get a bit older and become better players.
Do think it's a shame that being part of the squad the manager didn't see fit to get an extra trophy or two for the fringe players. Have you spoke to the manager about it - perhaps tell him if the club is that hard up you would pay for a trophy to be presented to your son when the other players go up to collect theirs.

Young lions jfc are at the bottom end of most of the leagues there in.
My son played for them from when he was nine till he was fourteen,so I know the club. What goes on at that club is a joke. This is not sour grapes because my son played full games most of the time.
Kids football is a very cruel game at its best, but this club have no compassion what so ever.My son played his last game for them four years ago.He walked off and said he would never play footy again, and he aint
Enough said.

of course the kids footy is competitive but as already said, premier league it aint, there is no 10 appearance minimum for a trophy,if they are in the sqaud, they should get a trophy! The team my daughter plays for, arguably the "worst" player ability-wise won a player of the year trophy because of her attitude and never complaining and doing a job as well as she could when put on the pitch!

If it because the kid openly plans to leave this summer then the manager should'nt be in kids football, its there for kids to enjoy not for managers to get all political! Unfortunately I dont think your complaint will go anywhere as its up to him how he runs his club.

"can you describe the assailant?"
"er, 6ft3, moustache"
"my, thats a big moustache!"

This is exactly what the manager said, if you're in the team you get a trophy!!
Although it's not just the trophy thing, like I said before he's not the best player in the world but he gives 100%
He doesn't mess around like most of the boys, he doesn't swear at the other players. He goes there and gets on with it so to speak.

It's the manager's attitude as a whole towards my son and some of the other players. He has frequently started matches late, because he's waiting one particular player to turn up. To avoid putting my son on, even though he has enough to play the match, by passing my son and putting him on the bench until the last 5 or 10 minutes of the match.

There's also the issue of wearing shin pads, shin pads must be worn by all players. One kid has not worn shin pads for the whole season for either matches or training. After being told if you don't wear them you will not play any matches. But then is allowed.

Man of the match trophy, to my son "if you'd have scored that goal you would have got man of the match". To the other boys, Man of the match trophy handed out for missing the goals and various other silly mistakes. What the hell is the difference!!!

After match talk, to all the other boys all individually named , hands shooks..."you played really well, want to see that again next week"....to my son no hand shake, pat on the back or nothing just a few negative words "I have reservations about you". I wonder how may 10 years olds actually understand what that means.

This manager is crap, he has no skills for dealing with children, children thrive on positivity. He has constantly put my son down, and some of the other boys too.

I'm so angry about this, I feel so gutted for my son. He's 10 years old for gods sake...the manager told him a couple of weeks ago he was getting a trophy, and now he's telling me "oops erm yeah I haven't got one for your son, but all the others have got one".....ggggrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!

OOOOOOOOOOh Maisie we know georgie (Chicken Legs) Ringrose, We Agree with everything you say their, your son should have definatly get a trophy at presentation, If your son is any good in goal my hubby looking for a goalie U9's, we are based in eastham, we have players traveling from prenton too play in our team, our kids love it, They all get too play with a rotation system in play when season starts, so no child misses out, Thats the way it should be done, Especially for kids off our age.

when my son started training at olympic lions a few years ago,he got a trophy even though he only joined at the end of the season, it shouldnt matter how many games your son has played he should still get a trophy as he's part of the team & pays his subs which in our team now goes to pay for trophys.I know one young lions team pulled out & started there own team obviously theyd had enough of george ringrose.

no1s gonna keep me from u
