Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Iran , Afghanistan, Pakistan, Israel, Lebanon etc. etc. etc. Why do all these people have some sort of inherent desire to kill each other?......and anyone who disagrees with their crazy beliefs.

What's religion got to do with it? It's the bad guys, who would like the world to think it comes under the heading of religion. So they obviously have achieved, what they set out to do! Why did the so called Christians kill each othe in the millions during the second world war? Answer..Led by super powers!

It does appear to be something in the Arab culture. There seems to have been civil wars in the Middle East since biblical times. Very, very weird and disturbing in the current political climate.

Buzzybee hi
You are so right. I am fascinated about the history and cultures of these regions from early history.Due to their vast empires it was a very powerful region .The following info is from Wikipedia.

Assyrian empires

Mesopotamia was home to several powerful empires that came to rule almost the entire Middle East—particularly the Assyrian Empires of 1365-1076 BC and the Neo Assyrian Empire of 911- 605 BC. The Assyrian Empire, at its peak, was the largest the world had seen. It ruled all of what is now Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Palestine, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, Cyprus, and Bahrain—with large swathes of Iran, Turkey, Armenia, Georgia, Sudan, and Arabia. "The Assyrian empires, particularly the third, had a profound and lasting impact on the Near East. Before Assyrian hegemony ended, the Assyrians brought the highest civilization to the then known world. From the Caspian to Cyprus, from Anatolia to Egypt, Assyrian imperial expansion would bring into the Assyrian sphere nomadic and barbaric communities, and would bestow the gift of civilization upon them....

Maybe if the super powers had made a better job of dividing the areas up and not financed the factions that they believed would give them the best trade rates we would have a fairer and more peaceful area.
There is nothing in the Koran to say that people should kill each other.
There are plenty of Atheists in the Middle East.

There were none of today's super powers around two thousand years ago.

nobody knows what or who was around 2,000 years ago, we only know what we read in books written by fallable people, usually from their point of view, which is far from accurate, most of the time, and downright lies a lot of the time, one of the most recent being Iraq having weapons of mass destruction by Tony Blair, we would never have found out about lies and deceiet 2,000 years ago, as we were uneducated, and believed everything we were told, by the superpowers of the time, such as priests, rabbis, and kings etc who we thought were holy, and could do no wrong.

Sorry Dool4lit4tle, but we do know who and what was around 2000,2500, and 3000 years ago and the ancient civilisations were extremely clever. We obviously don't know it all, but we know alot. The Greek Empire, The Roman Empire, the Egyptians, all gave us knowledge, which is still used to this day. These Empires were pre- 2000 years ago. There are records for census data, also births, deaths, marriages, land ownership , and historical records relating to events etc. The records were written down, on scrolls, books, parchment, carvings and in pictures, as there were no other means to record them. Their accounts of events have in most cases, been cross referenced from records and accounts written by others also.. Usually, until they have been so, they are not counted as factual. Letters were another source of great historical value to define the truth. Historians have ploughed through evidence for hundreds, if not thousands of years to aquire their knowledge. The ancient Empires had Emperors. Priests only came after Christianity, i.e. Christ.only 2000 yrs ago. Christ or Jesus of Nazareth was written about by many, in different accounts. Not just his disciples and followers. At the time, an account of Jesus was written by the Romans, who were 1500 miles away.

The Greeks worshipped Gods like Apollo.
There was Plato great mathematician, and philosopher, 400yrs BC. (BC means Before Christ) He wrote books on cosmology and named all the planets we know today.
Pythagoras , 500yrs BC also a great mathematician and philosopher. The Pythagoras Theorem is still used today.

The Egyptians built Pyramids, Romans, roads hundreds of miles long, cities ( like Chester, which is just a little one in comparison) aqueducts, plus sport arenas for 10,000’s of people. They hunted wild animals such elephants, lions and tigers and transported them live, by sea back to Rome.
There is so much they were involved in and capable of, and the Romans were very brutal and military. Records, accounts and books were written during one of the most bureaucratic regimes.
They had no reason to lie to the people in those ancient times, who would they lie to? They had missions to be accomplished, and those who ruled made the decissions. If anyone argued, they were brown bread!
The Greeks and Romans were the new kids on the block. The Asyrian Empire was 2500yrs BC and there are records to show they were a extremely advanced in many ares of developement.
Please take time to look up some of the knowledge we have on these ancient empires, you will see, we have much to thank them for.
