Boy faces attempted murder charge A 14-year-old has been charged with attempted murder after a pupil was stabbed at a school in Ayrshire.
The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of trying to kill another 14-year-old boy at Ayr Academy on Monday.
He made no plea or declaration at Ayr Sheriff Court and was remanded in secure accommodation.
The injured pupil was taken to Glasgow's Yorkhill Hospital, where his condition is described as "stable".
