man arrested after siege at Wallasey flat ARMED police were called to a Merseyside flat following reports of a siege.Police surrounded the first-floor flat in Birch Grove, Wallasey, at 5pm yesterday.
They were on the scene for two hours before a man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill.
Police also seized a number of knives.
A woman was also in the flat.
Ian Kenyon, 38, who owns Retro Trax music store below the flat, said: “I am not surprised.
“They are always screaming at each other.
“They started shouting at 4pm.
“As I walked home, I saw police cars racing to the shop.”
