Minor injury clinics open in Wirral

A PILOT scheme to treat minor injuries closer to home and keep accident and emergency numbers down has been used by 1,500 people.

The project is being carried out at Miriam Medical Centre in Laird Street, Birkenhead, and at Parkfield Medical Centre in Sefton Road, New Ferry.

It is designed for patients with minor emergencies like burns, scalds and minor head or eye injuries. Drop-in between 12 noon to 8pm Monday to Thursday and on Fridays 12 to 6pm.
