I have a car with over 127 thousand on the clock, with what I believe to be the original cam belt.
With some of the symptoms am having, I believe the cam belt has slipped, so to avoid a high repair cost in the future, I wish to get this cam belt replaced, asap.
Could some one recommend a reliable garage to do this, preferably one that I wont have to pull my pants back up when I leave.

theres one on limekiln lane in wallasey called cheshire autos,i always go there and they are good and not a rip off,its 2 fellas who share a garage and they certainly do a good job,the fellas there are peter and mal if you want to pop down,i always get a price off them before they do the work too!!!

Agree with poker champ but can be a bit hit and miss, the best is Mike O'Sullavan garage 471 cleveland street 0151 653 6060.

Agree with poker champ but can be a bit hit and miss, the best is Mike O'Sullavan garage 471 cleveland street 0151 653 6060. I went to see them today, they promised to phone me within 30mins, they never did, so that is one I shall now cross of my list.

am sure there are many mechanics on here that would gladly do it for you vene maybe as a foreigner to save cost a little .....
but in all honesty with so little details about what car etc etc ,it would be very hard for anyone to give an idea of cost price etc etc ...
hopefully you will be lucky and its not an interferance fit ,or you could be looking at bent valves too ,which will bump price up lots !!
